NEW SITES ADDED replyforall - replyforall is a simple, practical, and sustainable way to support the causes you care about using the email messages you already send every day. It tags an email signature to your emails that include an advertisement from a sponsor. replyforall then donate a portion of those advertising dollars to non profit good cause organisations. Better The World - Raise money for charity by simply surfing the net! Better The World have various ways in which this can be achieved without interfering with your web surfing habits. By far the easiest way is to install their sidebar, which shows adverts as you browse the web. 90% of the advertising revenue raised is donated to charity. Human Writes - Human Writes is a non-profit, humanitarian organisation that befriends people on Death Row in the USA. Befriending takes the form of writing letters to prisoners who feel that they are in need of help to live like a human being for the time they are here. Cranes for Cancer - There is an old Japanese tradition that 1,000 origami paper cranes will bring good luck. Cranes for Cancer's mission is to provide baskets or vases of 1,000 cranes to cancer patients. The 1000 cranes bring hope and uplift spirits. Instructions for making origami cranes are included on the website.

FEATURED VOLUNTEER ACTION
GreenPrint is a piece of software that you download to your pc that allows you to have greater control over what you print as well as making it easier to omit the stuff you don't want to print. It gives you the facility to highlight and remove unwanted pages, especially those one sentence tag-on pages that seem to get printed off when you're printing a webpage. Choose the GreenPrint World version as it's free, although it is supported by adverts. This piece of software should save you on printing and paper costs as well as saving trees. Give yourself an applause if you're now thinking of using this software!

SITES OF INTEREST
The Extraordinaries delivers micro-volunteer opportunities to mobile phones that can be done on-demand and on-the-spot. So, whilst your waiting at the bus stop or for a pizza, you could be volunteering your time to benefit worthy causes. Extraordinary!!
Perform a random act of kindness for someone. Then give them a 'UMadeMyDay' card to show them that you found it a joy to do a nice gesture for them. The person who receives the card is then encouraged to pass it on to someone else, rather like spreading out good deeds in a mini 'Mexican Wave'. |
CHARITY GAMES
Light up 12 seperate candles with a match, which can only be lit individually when a candle is glowing. Submit your score and money will be donated for free for children in need.
