Introduction

Do you work in an organisation that cares for people that for one reason or another are confined or stay in their home for some or most of their time either on a temporary or more permanent basis? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Benefits of Micro Volunteering

Outstretched armsThe micro volunteer actions listed on Help From Home are not your traditional opportunities and you probably haven't even heard of them. The main bulk of the task, if not all of it is designed to be carried out from the comfort of a person's home in one or more sessions of up to 30 minutes. They all benefit worthy causes to some degree or other.

Knowing that other people can benefit from their actions can empower a person with:

- more self worth

- more self esteem

- more self confidence

It has an amazing positive effect and helps to improve their lives and enables them to believe in their own abilities.

Free Downloads

Help From Home has over 500 micro volunteer actions to choose from and many, many more just waiting in the wings to be added to it's database. We recognize that you may not have time to investigate them all, so we've provided the following free downloads that highlight some of the actions featured on Help From Home.

They could be used:

- as a hand out to individuals to introduce them to the micro volunteering concept

- as discussion points at meetings or

- as a plain ol' handy reference guide as to what's out there in micro volunteering land
